Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i: Jellyblast 4.1.1 Firmware Update

Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i is an android smartphone which officially come with Android v2.3 Gingerbread but as there are more recent android version available so we bring here tutorial to update the operating system of this smartphone. This tutorial will help you update Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i with the Android v4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system using Jellyblast 4.1.1 Custom ROM Firmware. Features of Jellyblast 4.1.1 Custom ROM Firmware Update: This firmware update will update the operating system from Gingerbread to Jelly Bean and there are lots of new features in Jelly Bean than Gingerbread. This update will add these features to your Galaxy Ace S5830i smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy ACE S5830i

Requirements: You need to look at the certain requirements before going for this update.

Enable the USB debugging mode, Settings > Applications > Development.
Download the USB drivers of this device and install on your PC.
Create a backup of your personal stuff (message, call log, files) using apps.
Charge the battery of your device to more than half.
Your device must be rooted.

Steps to Insall Jellyblast 4.1.1 Custom ROM Firmware in Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i:

Download the firmware update zip file on your PC from the link provided above.
Connect your device to PC using USB and transfer the downloaded zip file in the SD card of device in the root folder.
Disconnect your device and turn it off.
Now turn on your device by holding menu button then power button. This will make you enter into the recovery mode. If the device did not enter in the recovery mode by this method then you can try this using “ROM Manager” app which is available at GooglePlay store.
Now select the zip file which you placed in the SD card using volume keys.
After selecting the zip file, it will take around 4-5 minutes for applying the update.
Once the installation process is over, select “go back” and reboot your device. It will take more time than usual for the first time start.

Your Galaxy Ace S5830i android smartphone now has the Android Jelly Bean v4.1 operating system from the Jellyblast 4.1.1 Custom ROM Firmware Update.

Update: If the above version of JellyBlast doesn’t work for you and your device faces issues (some of them are mentioned in the comments below) then try the older version.

have try to install that rom on my samsung GT-S5830i and after reboot have image Android 4.1 of different color comming from time to time on the display and nothing more !!!!!!!

the file zip was:JELLY BLAST V3.03_ Ported_For_S5830I

Have install retribution beta #2 rom, and it works.

      Yes, this update has problem with headset/earphones. I saw that many people are facing this issue http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1986442. Wait for the next bug fix patch.

        You may either use Soundabout app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.woodslink.android.wiredheadphoneroutingfix&hl=en) or you can flash Rafael Kernel from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2082874&highlight=jellyblast).

  DO NOT TRY THIS. THIS JELLY BLAST WILL DEFINITELY BLAST YOUR PHONES. YOU WILL LOSE IMEI AND YOUR PHONE WILL NOT CONNECT TO MOBILE NETWORKS. MOREOVER HEADPHONES WILL NOT WORK TOO AND NEEDLESS TO SAY FULL WARRANTY VOID. TAKE MY ADVICE.. PLEASE DO NOT TRY. I MYSLEF HAVE SUFFERED. IF YOU HAVE SCREWED BEFORE READING THIS. Hi,
I applied this update on my Galaxy 5830i. Now I cant make or receive any calls. It seems to have locked out my sim that was working on the phone before. Evrthing else works but I cannot connect to my service provider, Sim works on other phone. Can you please help me.

  That’s a strange problem. No one else faced the similar problem. I think you should try to reinstall the update. Do it and let me know if that solves the issue.

    i did move on to jelly blast and now I don`t register on mobile network and imei is also blank. no way am being able to get over it. want to roll back. please reply with solution

I am unable to use my mobile network on my phone after installing the rom and my ear phones are not working too.

    i updated my samsung galaxy ace with firmware 4 from 3.6.6 i have downloaded from XDA but when i follow all the procedure after completing the setup now my phone show only welcome screen with Smasung after that it show me ‘ANDROID’ text only nothing happen after that can you tell me how to fix this i have tried many option like factory reset / wipe data but noting work please help me.

hay m not able make calls .. signal is there. when i call someone .. it gets ended.. i can use net..
there is no problem in that.
rest [cant receive calls , sends messages, cant use headphones].. plz help…….

after upgrading the OS to the jeely blast there is error message in CPU details ” No states file found.Are you sure your phone is compatible”contact your developer to inform that the stsues file is not found.The same message come when OTA is application is opened along with the error message ” there is no OTA file found,instal the same”.
Also cannot instal Temple Run 2-error message ” Application is not compatible”

mobile network not connecting pretty major problem i would think…given the fact thats one on the uses of the phone. my galaxy ace 5380i was bought unlocked to all networks-my sim wont work after jellyblast rom-head phones dont work-pretty patchy when connecting to goole music app. Could you please advise on fix for mobile network connection please

I also have lost network, and am having major problems restoring wit clockworkmod, looks like I may have bricked my s3850i phone. I backed up EFS file with galaxy toolbox, which can see IMEI…ROM does not see IMEI…?? any fix for this
